These terms apply when you use the Tap Counter Pro Android app (com.kaitoo.tapcounterpro). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
Tap Counter Pro is a tally-counting utility for Android, published on Google Play by an independent solo developer. It counts things you tell it to count and shows statistics about that counting. It is a convenience tool — it is not a medical, safety, financial, legal or professional measurement instrument, and it must not be relied on where an error would be harmful.
You can use the app without registering. Creating an account is optional and is only needed for cloud backup. If you do create one, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account.
Your counters, tap history and settings are yours. They are stored on your device, and — only if you enable cloud backup — in your own row of our backup database. You can export them to a file at any time from Settings.
Because counter data lives primarily on your device, you are responsible for keeping your own backups. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage, resetting or losing your device will remove local data permanently. Cloud backup stores only the most recent snapshot; it is not a version history and it is not a guarantee against data loss. What is treated as personal data, and how, is described in the Privacy Policy.
The free version is funded by advertising served through Google AdMob. By using the free version you accept that ads will be displayed. Where the law requires it, you are asked for your advertising-consent choice before any ad is requested, and you can change it later from Settings. We do not control which specific ads are served and are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or the sites and apps they lead to.
Pro unlocks additional features — including removal of ads, unlimited counters, automatic cloud backup, extra themes and additional export and statistics features — and is available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Prices and the feature set of Pro may change. Changes to a running subscription's price are handled through Google Play, which will notify you and ask for confirmation where required.

We may suspend or delete an account that is used in breach of these terms or that abuses the backup service.
The app is provided as it is, and the optional online features depend on third-party services (Google Play, Google AdMob, Firebase, Supabase) that may change, be interrupted or be discontinued. We make no promise of uninterrupted availability, and features may be added, changed or removed between versions. If the cloud backup service were ever to be shut down, we would aim to give reasonable notice through the app or the Play listing so you can export your data — but export from the app to a local file is always available regardless.
The app, its name, icon, design and code are owned by the developer and are licensed to you, not sold. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you control, in accordance with these terms and the Google Play terms. Your counter data remains yours.
The app relies on Google Play Services and Google Play Billing, Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, and — for optional sign-in and backup — Supabase and Google Sign-In. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that counts or statistics will be accurate in every circumstance, or that data will never be lost.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you actually paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, which for free users is zero.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all mandatory statutory rights under the law of your country of residence, and nothing here overrides them.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, and you may delete your account and cloud backup at any time — see Delete your account and data. We may terminate or suspend access to the optional online features if these terms are breached. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) do so.
These terms may be updated. The current version always lives at this address with its "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, uninstall the app and, if you wish, delete your account.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's place of residence, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country you live in. Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it should be raised first by e-mail so it can be dealt with directly.
